Introduction

Neopentyl glycol dibenzoate is a low melting ( 49 Deg C) , waxy, solid plasticizer. This solid dibenzoate has low volatility, a good ultraviolet light stability and is compatible with several polymers. The product is used as a thermoplastic processing aid.

Applications
1 Used in polycarbonate or talc-filled polypropylene to improve injection moulding by cycle-time reduction.
2 Used in rigid vinyl compounds as an extrusion aid.
3 Used in thermoplastic polyesters (e.g. PBT, PCT, PET) to aid crystal growth during nucleation.
4 In acrylic based coating for excellent UV light stability is required.
