CATALYST DICYCLOPENTADIENE (DCPD)
Introduction

Dicyclopentadiene is also known as DCPD, is a chemical compound with formula C10H12. At room temperature, it is a Clear Colourless liquid with a camphor-like odor.Dicyclopentadiene is coproduced in large quantities in the steam cracking of naphtha and gas oils to ethylene.

Applications
1 DCPD is used for the production of unsaturated polyester resins.
2 Suited for water-white resins and specialty applications .
3 An unsaturated polyester modified by dicyclopentadiene.
4 Higher reactivity than regular unsaturated polyester resins after addition of dicyclopentadiene.
