PRESERVATIVE-AMMONIUM BENZOATE
Introduction

Ammonium benzoate is the ammonium salt of benzoic acid. Also known as benzoic acid ammonium salt, it is a coarse white powder that is widely used for its antimicrobial properties in cosmetics, personal care, and various other types of consumer products.

 

Applications
1 Ammonium Benzoate is used as a preservative in hair care products such as hair spray, mousse, shampoo and conditioner.
2 It is commonly used as industrial preservative for paper wrappers.
3 Used as a preservative in personal care products.
4 It also functions as a preservative in rubber latex and certain adhesive.
